Job Title: Pre-Commissioning Manager (Water Treatment)
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester.

Established Building Services player with a presence across the UK now has the need for experienced Operations Manager within their Pre-Commissioning/ Water Treatment department. Candidates must have a long standing background in the industry, able to demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and team leadership skills; capable of overseeing day to day running of the department. The client is able to pay competitively for the right candidate, alongside company car, private healthcare and excellent holiday allowance.

Experience & Qualifications

• A background as a Pre-Commissioning Engineer, alongside recent experience in a leadership role within the industry.
• Clear understanding of various client requirements, costs and timescales of projects.
• Well versed in BSRIA guidelines.
• Self-sufficient, able to manage own diary and workload.
• Will be able to communicate efficiently with clients and colleagues via phone, email, and face to face.

The Role

• Overseeing day to day running of the Pre-Commissioning department.
• Leading a team of Engineers with various levels of experience.
• Following up on new business enquires, and pricing/ scoping new projects.
• Partaking in the bid and tender process, assisting Senior Management/ Sales Team to create comprehensive and accurate bids.
• Scheduling works for a large team of Engineers and arranging based on logistics/ skill set.
• Identifying training requirements within the team and developing Engineers.
• Creating RAMS and plans of work.
• Playing an active role in the recruitment process.
• Liaising with third parties on site and suppliers to arrange chemicals/ equipment.
• Attend client pre start and update meetings.
• Troubleshooting and answering technical questions.
• Carrying out site visits, ensuring work is carried out in line with BSRIA guidelines and timely service delivery.
• Acting as first point of contact for clients, continuing to build and maintain excellent professional relationships.
