Job Overview

Our client is a national water company that supplies a varied range of water treatment, legionella and pre‑commissioning services across the UK. They are recruiting a professional and experienced Pre‑Commissioning Engineer based around the Bournemouth area. The ideal candidate will have a strong water treatment background and experience performing pre‑commissioning clean duties to BSRIA standards. Consideration will be given to applicants from Southampton, Dorchester, Salisbury and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven track record in a Pre‑Commissioning / Flushing engineer role.
  • Experience undertaking pre‑commissioning cleans to BSRIA standard.
  • Strong background in water treatment, chemical, technical, maintenance, educational, supervisory and plumbing.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, client‑facing, people management and IT skills.
  • Well‑versed in the water industry and hands‑on experience in water treatment engineering.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and collaborate with contractors, operatives and maintenance suppliers.
  • Supervise installation systems and commissioning.
  • Carry out pre‑commissioning cleaning on the systems according to BSRIA standards.
  • Ensure flow rates and complete flushing works.
  • Set dosing for CHW and LTHW systems and washing systems.
  • Perform chemical and tank cleans.
  • Carry out chlorination and disinfection works in accordance with ACOP L8 guidelines and other Health & Safety procedures.
  • Collate and produce accurate reports and schematic drawings.Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with ACOP (8) guidelines.
  • Build and maintain good working rapport with key clients.
  • Prioritise workload and address issues effectively and promptly.
  • Keep records of all work using the database.
