Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Engineer (Performance, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) to strengthen PRAM capabilities for UK mainline and metro projects. You will lead PRAM analysis, maintain evidence, and ensure compliance with essential standards.

You will guide peers, develop auditable PRAM deliverables across the project lifecycle, and demonstrate PRAM results to clients while adhering to regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

  • Understanding and applying PRAM management and PRAM engineering processes.
  • Competency in PRAM practices, including reliability analysis methods.
  • UK rail industry experience with turnkey mainline or mass transit projects.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering concepts and lifecycle delivery.
  • Ability to convey PRAM results to clients.
  • Understanding PRAMS planning, cost modelling and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop PRAM strategies for reliability, availability and maintainability.
  • Define and analyse performance and reliability requirements for rail projects.
  • Capture PRAM requirements, perform modelling and manage interfaces.
  • Produce PRAM analysis material to demonstrate compliance across lifetime.
  • Develop PRAM arguments and safety cases per standards to gain approval.
  • Review PRAM deliverables to ensure design meets requirements.
  • Define a concise 'One Systra' approach for PRAM requirements.
  • Upskill peers in PRAMS processes and requirements.
