A UK medical trust in Bristol is looking for a clinical psychologist to join their oncology and haematology service. The role involves direct clinical work with adult patients, providing psychological assessments and interventions. The successful candidate will contribute to service development and have opportunities for supervision and training. This position is part-time, requiring 22.5 hours a week, with responsibilities across multiple hospital sites.
We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical, counselling or health psychologist to work in a leading adult oncology and haematology service. The post holder will be closely supported by colleagues within an established and highly valued and supportive psychological health service.
You will have a wide range of direct clinical work with assignments in both our specialist Teenage and Young Adult service and our general adult service. You will be offered opportunities to contribute to the compassionate care of staff, through clinical supervision, as well as supporting our wide ranging training programme.
There are excellent facilities to support this role, with dedicated administrative support and clinical space within Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre and Weston General Hospital.
As a large department Psychological Health Services provides applied psychology services to a wide range of specialist multidisciplinary teams. Although the current recruitment is for a specific post, we welcome applications and enquiries from those who are interested in wider opportunities within our portfolio. The total hours currently available are 22.5 per week.
Our service covers both the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Hospital (BHOC) and Weston General Hospital (WGH) and candidates may be required to see patients on both sites. Candidates invited to interview will be asked to express their preference for working hours.
