A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a qualified psychologist to join their Cancer Psychological Services at St Bartholomew's Hospital. The role involves providing psychological care across various cancer pathways, engaging closely with a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates can apply at band 7 or 8a, depending on experience, with opportunities for funded professional development. This position emphasizes improving the psychological wellbeing of cancer patients and includes collaboration across multiple hospital sites.
The role will involve providing a clinical service to inpatients and outpatients and close working with MDT colleagues. Though the service frequently provides direct support to individuals requiring specialist psychological intervention, our overarching aim is to improve the psychological wellbeing of all cancer patients through the sharing of psychological knowledge and skills and service developments. Applicants should therefore be skilled and keen to engage in multi-disciplinary working. Current service developments are focused around addressing inequities in access to psychological care.
