Responsibilities

  • Conduct ECGs.
  • Carry out Diabetic work-ups (foot checks, BP, urinalysis, weight).
  • Fit and process 24 hr blood pressure monitors.
  • Assist with basic clinical measurements and data entry.
  • Lead on stock management, ordering and maintaining clinical supplies.
  • Ensure clinical rooms and equipment are clean and safe.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing and admin teams.

We are looking for a Practice Technician to join our clinical team. A proactive, organised and caring individual with experience in clinical support and practice operations. You'll be a confident and compassionate team player who enjoys working in a busy primary care environment.

Overview

The Panton Practice is a large GP practice dedicated to serving a diverse population of 17,300 patients. Our team is comprised of experienced professionals, including GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedic Practitioners, Practice Nurses, and our invaluable Reception and Admin team.

Main duties

As a Practice Technician, you will play an important role in supporting both patients and the wider clinical team. You will delivery diagnostic and monitoring services, assist in the mangaement of chronic conditions and help ensure smooth day to day running of the clinical environment.

Your main duties will include:

  • Conducting ECGs
  • Carrying out Diabetic work-ups (foot checks, BP, urinlysis, weight)
  • Fitting and processing 24 hr blood pressure monitors
  • Assisting with basic clinical measurements and data entry
  • Leading on stock management, ordering and maintaining clinical supplies
  • Ensuring clinical rooms and equipment are kept clean, safe and ready for use
  • Working collaboratively with the nursing and admin teams to provide efficient patient care
