Job summary

A local authority council in Richmond is seeking an enthusiastic Practice Supervisor to join the Northallerton Team. You will provide supervision to Social Workers and mentor colleagues while ensuring effective safeguarding practices for children and families. The ideal candidate is a qualified Social Worker with supervisory experience, committed to making a difference in young people's lives. Qualifications

An exciting position has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated Practice Supervisors to join the Northallerton Team. You will be working in a team that is constantly trying to improve outcomes for safeguarding children and supporting their families.

About the role

The team is committed to work with children and their families/carers, using a range of solution focussed, strength-based relationship practice models, including Signs of Safety, Systemic theory and the Family Finding approach. We are looking for colleagues who can help us continue to offer a unique service and truly make a difference to the young people of our county.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily supervision to Social Workers
  • Support risk management and decision-making
  • Mentor colleagues and help develop their practice
  • Lead on quality assurance and performance monitoring
  • Chair multi-agency meetings and attend child protection conferences
What We’re Looking For

You should be a qualified Social Worker (DIPSW, CQSW, Masters, or Degree in Social Work), ideally with supervisory or management experience. You’ll need to demonstrate strong skills and knowledge aligned with the job specification.
