Job summary

The Blackmore Vale Partnership is seeking a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to join our practice in North Dorset. You will support safe repeat prescribing, medicines management and optimisation, working closely with the Practice Pharmacist and team.

The role requires excellent communication and IT skills, with a sound knowledge of medicines management gained in primary or secondary care settings. A permanent contract and a negotiable start date are offered.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC registration.
• Good communication and IT skills in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medicines management and optimisation in primary or secondary care.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Pharmacist to ensure safe, effective prescribing systems.
• Train and oversee admin staff involved in repeat prescriptions.
• Assist in medicines reconciliation and update patient records.
• Contribute to prescribing budgets and cost-effective prescribing.
• Develop and implement new working processes to optimise prescribing quality.
• Provide medication reviews and patient information as required.
• Respond to medication queries from patients and staff with GP reference when needed.
