Job summary

Silver Blue Services Ltd t/a Springday Healthcare is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to lead and support a dynamic nursing team within a primary care setting in the United Kingdom. The role emphasises diabetes care, long-term condition management and high standards of patient safety.

You will work closely with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team, contribute to clinical governance, audits and service improvements, and develop staff competencies while maintaining patient recall systems.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Substantial experience in general practice or primary care nursing.
• Experience in diabetes management.
• Experience with long-term condition management and routine practice nursing.
• Strong clinical judgement and organisational skills.
• Ability to support colleagues and contribute to a team.
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based care.
• Desirable diabetes care qualification.
• Previous senior practice nurse or leadership experience.
• Experience mentoring colleagues or contributing to audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing team.
• Coordinate nursing workloads and clinical activity.
• Maintain patient safety, infection prevention and governance.
• Develop staff and clinical competencies.
• Contribute to audits and practice improvements.
• Support diabetes and long-term condition services.
• Collaborate with GPs and the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure protocols and recall systems are maintained.
