Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting Locum Practice Nurses in Wadhurst. This flexible, sessional role offers varied work across community health settings and GP surgeries, with a mix of treatment room duties, clinical reviews and preventive health activity.

You will support routine clinics, deliver procedural care and assist with core nursing responsibilities. NHS Health Checks, immunisations and cytology experience are advantageous; an enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and primary care or community nursing experience.
• Immunisation and cytology experience are advantageous.
• DBS check (Enhanced) is required.

Responsibilities

• Running treatment room clinics including wound care and general nursing procedures
• Supporting chronic disease and long-term condition reviews
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained)
• Performing smear tests where qualified
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
• Maintaining accurate documentation across different clinical systems
• Providing general clinical support to GPs and Nurses

Requirements
