The PNE role offers the opportunity for registered mental health nurse to work in a clinical leadership role to support and educate the nursing workforce and works to develop competence and confidence of the mental health nursing workforce and improve the quality, safety and effectiveness of care provided to patients., The PNE role will support the development and learning of our nursing workforce with a particular focus on newly qualified nurses. The PNE role will support the supply and retention of registered nurses and the mental health & well being of the workforce.

The East Sussex Division employs over 200 nurses in various settings including urgent care, acute inpatient services for adults, older adults and dementia, complex emotional needs, community based services (in Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams) for adults, older adults and people with dementia.
