Job summary

North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre is a busy SystmOne practice with about 19,500 patients and a Good CQC rating. The Practice Nurse role is based across our main surgery and the Beaulieu Healthcare Centre branch, offered part-time on Wed/Thu/Fri or Thu/Fri.

You will perform immunisations, cytology, contraception, wound care, ECGs/BP checks, travel vaccines and chronic disease management, with DBS and UK registration required.

Qualifications

• A relevant nursing degree.
• Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
• Experience working as a Practice Nurse in General Practice.

Responsibilities

• Immunisations for children and adults.
• Cytology and Contraception services.
• Wound dressings and ECGs/BP checks.
• Health monitoring and management.
• NHS travel vaccines and chronic disease support.
• Asthma or Diabetes management (training may be required).

North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly team working across our main surgery and our new modern purpose-built branch surgery, Beaulieu Healthcare Centre. This position is offered on a part-time basis, working either Wednesday, Thursday and Friday or Thursday and Friday.

Main duties of the job

• Childhood immunisations


• Cytology


• Contraception


• Wound dressings


• Adult immunisations


• ECGs/BPs


• Health monitoring and management


• NHS travel vaccines


• Asthma or Diabetes Management (qualified or willingness to undertake training) - preferrable
