Practice Nurse – Westhoughton (Full-Time & Part-Time)

We are a friendly, patient-focused GP practice in Westhoughton, looking for a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our team. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions.

Location: Westhoughton, Greater Manchester

Position: Practice Nurse (FT/PT)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in a primary care setting
  • Manage long-term conditions (e.g., diabetes, COPD, hypertension)
  • Provide immunisations, health screenings, and patient education
  • Conduct wound care, ear syringing, and other clinical procedures
  • Collaborate with GPs and the wider practice team to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with clinical governance
Essential Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration
  • Experience in primary care or community nursing preferred
  • Strong clinical and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
  • Additional qualifications in diabetes care, respiratory care, or immunisations
  • Experience with EMIS or SystmOne clinical systems
