The position is part time working Thursdays and Fridays only. Due to room constraints the days of this post is none negotiable.
Hours:
Thursday 8am - 6pm
Friday 8am - 6pm
We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse who will fulfil core responsibilities of the role which will include: Long Term Condition management, wound care management, Cytology, Child Immunisations, Vaccinations Contraception, Swabs, specimens, bloods, blood pressures, infection control, keeping accurate and detailed health records on SystmOne clinical system. A key role in QOF/PEP achievement, Involvement in the MDT of the Surgery. This role may support the wider team with: Clinical audits, Safeguarding concerns, Support and participate in shared learning over the Practice Support for GPs in patient care. Ability to review clinical practices and respond to national policies and initiatives where necessary. Participate in local initiatives in order to enhance local patient care where necessary.
Parkway Medical Group is a friendly, well-established, enthusiastic practice with around 8,350 patients. We have 3 GP partners, 5 salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses and 2 Health Care Assistants. The practice is based in a modern purpose built Health Centre in Chapel House.
High QOF achievement year on year
Regular training sessions throughout the year.
Nurse and HCA team have a daily morning coffee break.
Weekly Clinical team huddles
Weekly Nurse/HCA meetings and weekly clinical meetings.
We use SystmOne Clinical system.
