Job description

We are a large, friendly, training practice in the market town ofLeighton Buzzard and seek a part-time Practice Nurse to join our clinical team. The post will initially be for 2 days a week (Tue & Fri) with the likelihood that increased hours will be offered in the future for succession planning.

Main duties of the job

The role comprises general nursing support including: adult &baby imms, cervical cytology, travel advice & imms, ear irrigation, ECG's,health promotion, phlebotomy and wound care. An interest or experience in diabetes would be welcomed (development/ support would be provided).

About us

Our nurse team comprises 3 part-time Practice Nurses, a Diabetic Nurse,3 extended-role HCAs and 5 ANPs. Other members of the team include 8 GPpartners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 clinical pharmacists and 4 dispensers, all of whomare supported by our amazing admin, reception and secretarial teams. We workclosely with the other 2 practices in the town and together formLeighton-Linslade Health Connections (the PCN in our area). Our growing PCN ishelping to relieve pressure on our practice team with their own teamof clinical and administrative staff.

We have a vacancy for apart-time Practice Nurse working Wed, Thu & Fri to join our existing teamwho are comprised of nursing, extended-role HCA and phlebotomy colleagues. Weaim to provide person-centred care to our patients, helping them to manageexisting conditions, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
