A large GP Practice in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join its dedicated nursing team. The role involves chronic disease management, immunisations, and quality improvement initiatives. Candidates should have RGN registration, at least one year of experience, and a passion for outstanding patient care. This role offers mentorship and the opportunity to develop into advanced specialties. Competitive pay of £19 to £23 per hour based on experience will be offered.
We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our large team of ANPs, Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
You will work as part of the Nursing team, delivering chronic disease management and acute support for treatment room type services, including dressings. Also responsible for childhood immunisations, cervical screening and travel vaccinations. You will bring ideas for quality improvement and streamline nursing services, and a passion for oustanding patient experience.
You will report to and work closely with our Head of Nursing and Quality, and our Practice Matron.
Undertake a range of chronic disease management appointments.
Undertake respiratory long term condition management.
Undertake diabetes long term condition management.
Undertake smears.
Childhood Imms.
Infection prevention and control.
Research.
Depending on experience, we will encourage you to support training and development for nurses and health care assistants within the Practice. The successful applicant will contribute to continuous development of nursing services to deliver efficient, effective and outstanding patient services.

The Lead Nurse role will be responsible for overseeing the nursing team, nursing performance, recruitment and retention, in addition to conducting typical patient-facing nurse clinics.
