Job summary

Dr H Naylin & Partner in London is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care within a friendly primary care team, supporting health promotion, chronic disease management, screening programmes and vaccination services.

You will work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care, on a part-time basis with a pro rata salary of £40,000 to £45,000.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in primary care desirable.

Responsibilities

• Cervical cytology, including Open Exeter entry and smear safety monitoring.
• Childhood immunisations.
• Travel vaccinations.
• Family planning support and advice.
• Suture removal.
• Wound care and dressings.
• Vitamin B12 injections.
• Vaccination programmes including influenza, pneumococcal, shingles and pertussis.
• Stock management of vaccines and cold chain protocols.
• Infection control lead duties and monthly audits.
• Chronic disease management clinics.
• ECG recording.
• Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM).
• Health promotion and preventative care activities.

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly primary care team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care to our patient population, supporting health promotion, chronic disease management, screening programmes and vaccination services. You will work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care.

• Simple and complex wound care and dressings
• Vitamin B12 injections
• Vaccination programmes including influenza, pneumococcal, shingles and pertussis
• Ordering and stock management of vaccines in line with cold chain protocols
• Infection control lead duties, including monthly audits
• Chronic disease management clinics
• ECG recording
• Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM)
• Health promotion and preventative care activities
