Ideal candidates should be Registered General Nurses with experience working in diverse clinical settings and a commitment to professional development. The role offers flexibility with potential for increased hours.
We are a large, friendly, training practice in the market town of Leighton Buzzard and seek a part-time Practice Nurse to join our clinical team. The post will initially be for 2 days a week (Tue & Fri) with the likelihood that increased hours will be offered in the future for succession planning.
The role comprises general nursing support including adult & baby immunisations, cervical cytology, travel advice & immunisations, ear irrigation, ECGs, health promotion, phlebotomy and wound care. An interest or experience in diabetes would be welcomed (development / support would be provided).
Our nurse team comprises 3 part-time Practice Nurses, a Diabetic Nurse, 3 extended-role HCAs and 5 ANPs. Other members of the team include 8 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 clinical pharmacists and 4 dispensers, all of whom are supported by our amazing admin, reception and secretarial teams. We work closely with the other 2 practices in the town and together form Leighton-Linslade Health Connections (the PCN in our area). Our growing PCN is helping to relieve pressure on our practice team with their own team of clinical and administrative staff.
