We are seeking a dynamicindividual who is eager to take ownership of the role of practice nurse andcontribute positively to the Corfe Castle Surgery team. We are looking for someone who will share our commitment to providing outstanding care to our patients.

Main duties of the job
Main duties will include but not be limited to;
We are a rural dispensing practice with approximately 3225 patients. We have a lead GP, three salaried GP's, a Practice Manager, a Lead Practice Nurse, a HCA, 3 dispensers and 6 Admin Staff as well as regular locum and bank support staff.
We pride ourselves on being recognised as a surgery who deliver a high calibre of care to our patients, and are proud to have received overall 'Outstanding' status from our latest CQC inspection, and equally as importantly in this years' Annual GP Survey we achieved a score of 99% overall patient satisfaction (rated good or very good).
We are set in a beautiful location with views of Corfe Castle.
Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed bysenior nursing staff and GP's
Contribute to infection prevention and control measures
Mentor for newlyemployed Practice Nurses where appropriate
Cytology
Removal of Sutures
Travel Clinic
ECGs
Venepuncture
Routineimmunisations/Childhood immunisations
Chaperoning andassisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by anotherclinician
Assisting GPs withminor surgery
Requesting pathologytests, for example urine culture, swabs
Reviews for Diabetesor Coronary Heart Disease and Contraception. Asthma/COPD reviews/Spirometry -following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs asappropriate
Maintaining andcleaning equipment used by the nurses and GPs
Maintaining GP andNurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required
Maintain generaltidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
Ordering ofvaccinations to maintain stock levels
Participation inadministrative systems in the Practice
At all times therewill be a need to maintain accurate records
A duty to advisesenior nurses of potential problems or errors within the range of assignedtasks
Attend and participatein any Practice meetings when required.
Any other delegatedduties appropriate to the post
