A healthcare provider in London seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to diagnose and treat patients with minor illnesses. Responsibilities include conducting health checks, chronic disease reviews, and coordinating nursing services. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality care. Candidates should be prepared to work enhanced access hours and possess post-registration qualifications in general practice.
Thepost-holder is responsible for attending to patients who wish to be seen by a healthcare professional, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with minor illness, seeing and advising people in respect of their continuing medical and nursing needs.
The post-holder is primarily responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses, health checks, cervical smears and routine vaccinations.
We are a busy, high-achieving, well‑organised practice, operating in two locations, with 10000+ patients registered at Connaught Square Practice and 3500+ at Westbourne Green Surgery. We are open 6 days a week and provide different services that cater to our patients' needs. We are easily accessible being based in Central London.
IMPORTANT: We provide Enhanced Access at Connaught Square Practice (6.30-8pm on weekdays and 8:30am-4pm on Saturdays). Our expectation is that the hire would be willing to work Enhanced Access on weekdays, and the occasional Saturday (when cover is required for our usual Nurses who work Saturdays).
Job Responsibilities:
The post-holder will participate in the training programme implemented by the Practice as part of their employment, including participation in an annual performance review, maintaining a record of their own personal and/or professional development, taking responsibility for their own development and demonstrating skills and activities to others.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
