Job summary

The Panton Practice, a large GP clinic, is seeking a practice nurse to join its clinical team. The role centres on hands‑on procedures including phlebotomy, wound care, injections and immunisations, cervical smears, ECGs and 24‑hour blood pressure fitting, carried out as directed by GPs and other clinicians.

The successful applicant will have recent practice nursing experience and adult nurse registration, with competence across the core procedures.

Qualifications

• Qualified in phlebotomy.

• Competence in baby immunisations.
• Competence in adult injections and immunisations.
• Competence in wound management.

Responsibilities

• Carry out phlebotomy and wound dressings.
• Administer injections and immunisations.
• Perform baby immunisations and cervical smears.
• Conduct ECGs and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring.
• Carry out urinalysis and routine patient care tasks as directed by GPs.

The Panton Practice, a large GP practice with around 17,000 patients, is seeking a practice nurse to work within its clinical team. The role centres on hands‑on procedures including phlebotomy, wound care, injections and immunisations, cervical smears, ECGs and 24‑hour blood pressure fitting, carried out as directed by GPs and other clinicians. Applicants need recent practice nursing experience and adult nurse registration, with competence across the core procedures. Travel health and chronic disease experience are welcome extras.

What the job involves
