Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Property Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This position is open to candidates based anywhere in the UK. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining time working from home, our offices, and client sites.

Following the continued expansion of our UK operations, we are seeking a Practice Leader to oversee our Property Risk Consulting team across the UK. We welcome applications from a diverse range of backgrounds, including those currently employed by insurers, brokers, consultancies, in‑house teams, or working independently.

Responsibilities
  • To lead and manage the UK Property Risk Consulting (PRC) team within Marsh Advisory, responsible for Property Risk Engineering, Property Surveys, and Property Consulting activities.
  • To utilise your sales expertise to drive growth within PRC across various segments of Marsh.
  • To leverage your networking skills to build and strengthen relationships throughout Marsh.
  • To collaborate with our global risk engineering colleagues to deliver exceptional client solutions.
  • To support clients and enhance the Marsh PRC offering by deploying our consultants’ expertise, dedication, and creativity in ways that best serve both clients and colleagues.
  • To apply your Property Risk Engineering and Consulting experience in a client‑focused environment that values flexibility and fosters a collaborative culture.
  • Represent Marsh as a senior leader.
  • Lead the Property Risk Consulting team within Marsh Advisory, reporting to the Head of Operational Risk Delivery.
  • Oversee the daily management of all UK PRC Consultants.
  • Support project delivery within the PRC team as needed.
  • Collaborate with global PRC colleagues and leaders.
  • Coordinate with the Operational Risk Growth Team.
  • Conduct peer reviews of colleague reports.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
  • Develop and implement a PRC Growth Strategy to meet specific milestones.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Extensive Property Risk Engineering or Property Consulting experience, ideally gained with a large broker or insurer.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • P&L Experience.
  • A successful track record in driving sales and business growth.
  • Ideally have a HPR background.
  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel throughout the UK, with occasional international travel.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or a degree.
  • An understanding of emerging risks, technological advancements, and AI / GenAI applications in risk management is desirable.
  • The ability to develop value propositions around core property engineering services and wider operational resiliency consulting and analytics services.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • A problem‑solving mindset and critical thinking abilities.
  • Attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to learn quickly.
