A prominent health organization in Haverfordwest is seeking a dedicated Practice Education Facilitator for its Emergency Department. This role requires a registered nurse with strong emergency care experience and a passion for education. The facilitator will work closely with nursing teams to promote development and ensure high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a recent teaching qualification and significant experience in healthcare education.
The emergency department at Withybush General Hospital is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Practice Education Facilitator. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with emergency care experience who is inspirational and highly driven in providing nurse education and training in the emergency care setting.
The post holder will work alongside the nursing and multi-disciplinary teams in the Emergency Department at Withybush General Hospital to promote excellence in nursing and continual clinical and professional development that delivers safe, effective and quality care to patients.
The post holder will work closely with the Departmental Senior Sisters, Senior Nurse Manager and Deputy Head of Nursing to ensure that the varying training needs of all members of the Emergency Department nursing team are assessed and met; and that a progressive learning environment is created and maintained within the department.

The post holder will work with professional and operational leads across the Emergency Department services to ensure that clinical and educational guidelines, policies and procedures meet the need of the local services as well as the wider Hywel Dda University Health Board. Actively promote, contribute to, and deliver both local and nationally accredited inter‑professional learning activities across the Emergency Department (e.g. ALS, Manchester Triage etc) and be an effective role model for best practice, providing clinical support for all members of the nursing team within the Emergency Department.
Coordinate and manage a comprehensive and systematic programme, ensuring both core and optional education and training is made available for all members of the Emergency Department nursing team.
Work directly with newly qualified nurses to support them to develop skills in safe, high‑quality practice; and, through reflection, to assess their own development needs.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
