A major healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Practice Development Nurse/Practitioner to enhance clinical skills and lead education initiatives within the Urgent Community Response teams. Applicants should have significant clinical experience, a relevant educational background, and strong leadership skills. Thepostholderwillhavealeadroleinthedevelopmentand provisionofpracticeeducation standards within the Urgent Community Response and Home First Teams in the Unplanned Care Division.
Thepostholderwillprovidementorshipandworkbased learningfacilitation,in-house curriculum design and teaching, higher education teaching.
They will supportthedevelopmentofenhancedclinicalskillsacross the units,ensuringaccesstoappropriate development to maintain a competent workforce.
They will support as a clinicalleader and take a proactive role inadvisingtotheclinicalservicesindeliveringbestpractice and evidence based care.
Developingclinicalgovernancethroughthesupport,monitoring,andimplementationof enhanced clinical standards and learning within the clinical services.
The post holder will be a registered nurse or AHP with a relevant post graduate certificate in education(orequivalent)orcommitmenttoundertakingarelevantcourseineducation.
Whilst position is primarily based in the Crawley & Horsham Area (across the two sites based at Crawley & Horsham Hospitals), there will at times be a requirement to cover other areas of UCR & Home First within SCFT therefore travel between sites will be required.
The post holder will work closely with the senior management team for Unplanned Care, in the UCR & Home First pathways and will have strong links into the corporate professional practice team. The aim of which is to support professional recommendations in relation to service redesign and new ways of working linked to operational and patient need.
Provides education and support to workforce development processes, supporting initiatives and other clinical and quality improvement project work.
Improving patient care and experience through development of standards and participation in bench marking, audit and research.
Supporting multi-professional development and training by working collaboratively across health and social care.
Acts as a clinical and educational expert, leading in clinical training, education and induction programmes.
Identifies practice areas which require evaluation through team development planning and training needs gap analysis.
