Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking a Practical Skills Instructor in Construction based at Stephenson College. You will teach practical skills in construction and building services to prepare students for assessments and the workforce.

The role focuses on delivering industry-standard knowledge and mentoring learners, while ensuring health and safety in workshop environments and contributing to teaching materials. A diverse and inclusive workplace is emphasised.

Qualifications

  • Industry related qualification or apprenticeship at level 3 or in relevant subject area.
  • Significant experience working in industry.
  • Experience of coaching and/or mentoring individuals in an educational or industry setting.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop / industry setting.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Practical Skills Instructor in Construction to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College.

The practical skills instructor will teach practical skills in construction and building services, with the aim to ensure students are assessments and workforce ready.

Responsibilities of this role include
