Job summary

Fieldfisher is seeking a Senior PR & Communications Manager to shape and lead strategic PR for its priority sectors and practices. You will advise senior partners, translate complex legal issues into compelling narratives and drive media relations, content creation and integrated campaigns to raise the firm's profile.

You will collaborate across offices and jurisdictions in a fast-moving professional services environment, coach spokespeople and manage agencies to deliver outcomes that support

Qualifications

• At least eight years of PR and communications experience (in-house, agency, or combination).
• Strong media relations skills with national and sector coverage.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading abilities with ability to simplify complex issues.
• Proven track record in strategic communications and integrated content campaigns.
• Good judgement advising senior stakeholders and handling sensitive issues under pressure.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with experience managing agencies.
• Experience coaching spokespeople and working across media formats (digital, video, broadcast).
• Collaborative and influential working style across functions and offices.
• Proactive, independent and commitment to responsible business practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PR and communications strategies aligned to business priorities and growth ambitions.
• Advise partners, sector and practice leaders on clear, commercially-focused communications.
• Translate complex legal and market issues into compelling narratives.
• Lead proactive media engagement and journalist relationships across national, international, and trade media.
• Identify stories from client work, market developments, and firm expertise; secure interviews and coach spokespeople.
• Oversee award entries, legal directory submissions and rankings.
• Create integrated campaigns with BD, marketing, digital, and international colleagues.
• Develop internal comms to showcase achievements and support priorities.
• Collaborate with international teams to support cross-border campaigns.
• Lead and mentor colleagues, provide feedback and contribute to process improvements.
• Manage third-party agencies and multiple workstreams effectively.
