Job description

£36,000-£39,999 | Central London | Hybrid - 2 days in office per week

Are you an ambitious PR Account Manager looking for the chance to work on purpose-led campaigns that have a genuine impact?

We're working with an award-winning communications agency that partners with organisations across consumer, third sector and Government to tackle issues that matter - from wellbeing and financial resilience to education, sustainability and social change.

The team is looking for a confident Account Manager who can combine strong PR fundamentals with creative thinking, excellent organisation and a real curiosity about the world around them.

What you'll be doing

You'll be trusted with a varied mix of accounts and will have plenty of opportunity to take ownership, develop client relationships and play an active role in shaping campaigns.

Your day-to-day could include:

  • Coming up with creative PR ideas and turning them into campaigns that earn attention
  • Developing media approaches and proactively pitching stories to journalists and broadcasters
  • Building and maintaining relationships with relevant media and influencers
  • Getting under the skin of different audiences, sectors and issues through research and insight
  • Writing everything from press releases and media materials to client communications and campaign content
  • Coordinating multiple projects, keeping activity moving and making sure deadlines are met
  • Managing day-to-day client contact and becoming a trusted point of contact
  • Preparing campaign updates, results and reports for clients
  • Getting involved in presentations and new business opportunities
  • Working alongside and supporting junior team members, helping them develop their skills and confidence
  • Keeping an eye on culture, news and emerging conversations to identify opportunities for clients
What we're looking for

You'll be someone who enjoys being busy, takes ownership and likes having a genuine role in the success of a campaign.

We're particularly interested in people who have:

  • Experience working in a PR or communications agency environment
  • A strong grounding in media relations and earned media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence communicating with clients and presenting ideas
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • An instinct for spotting a good story and understanding what will interest different audiences
  • A creative approach to campaign development
  • A good understanding of the media landscape and current affairs
  • Experience working collaboratively with junior colleagues or taking responsibility for their development
  • The commercial awareness to manage budgets and work effectively with suppliers
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to get stuck into whatever is needed

Most importantly, you'll be interested in why the work matters. You'll enjoy getting to grips with complex subjects and finding engaging ways to make them relevant to audiences.

The agency

The agency has been working in purpose-led communications for more than 25 years and has built its reputation around campaigns designed to create meaningful positive change.

Its work has been recognised with multiple industry awards, including Purpose Agency of the Year and Third Sector Communications Agency of the Year.

You'll join a collaborative team where people are encouraged to bring ideas, learn from one another and take ownership of their work.

If you're looking for your next Account Manager role and want to use your PR skills on campaigns that are genuinely trying to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
