Job description

We here at Black PR are looking for a proactive Account Executive to join our expanding team. The role would involve assisting the company Directors in the running of the client accounts.

Main Responsibilities :

• Pitching to press for variety of coverage on client accounts
• Developing creative concepts and news worthy stories that will result in press coverage
• Overall promotion of the messages and brand values of clients through the media wherever possible
• Responding to journalists enquires
• Helping to grow client’s awareness by securing weekly, monthly and digital coverage and meeting weekly targets
• Securing product sponsorship for Black PR events
• Writing client and product news press releases
• Assist plan and implement seasonal Press days and events for Black PR clients with the Black PR team
• Keeping clients updated with weekly PR updatesand monthly press reports
• Helping to create content for digital platforms
• Correlating all coverage on Black PR clients they look after and sending to clients
• Creating newsletters on new products, trends or relevant brand news to send out to relevant key media
• To represent Black PR on the telephone and at meetings with currentclients with rest of team working on the account
• Assist on Fashion Week and other external events such as Press Days

Knowledge and skills :

• Skills required are consistent with at least oneyear'sexperience working at this level in a PR Agency, EG client handling and Industry awareness
• Good written skills, including the use of Microsoft Office
• Established relationships with Journalists, Stylists and Influencers
• Diverse experience in public relations work covering consumer, fashion, celebrity sectors
• Good previous press and ideallyevent experience
• Communication skills to be able to talk to clients, press and stylists and write professional emails
• Knowledge of fashion, and an interest in trends and fashion media
• Able to exercise initiative when performing tasks in the office and prioritise own workload
• Proactive on all levels, successful applicant will be expected to attend industry events and keep up to date with industry news
• Good knowledge and interest in social media
