Qualifications

  • Hold QTS in the UK.
  • Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum, weighted towards either KS1 or KS2.
  • Open to teaching multiple year groups across KS1 and KS2.

Responsibilities

PPA Cover Teacher - Medway

Full-time/Part-Time - MPS- Immediate start - Temporary/ad hoc

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a PPA Cover Teacher to work in Primary schools in the Medway area, for both longer-term roles as well as ad hoc daily supply to start immediately. These positions are open for both full-time and part-time possibilities and will be covering across both KS1 and KS2. We would welcome applications from experienced teachers and ECTs alike!

PPA Cover is a fantastic way to gain as much varied experience across all year groups if you are an ECT, or early in your teaching career with less pressure I terms of taking on full responsibility for planning. This will also help give you a more rounded knowledge of the Primary curriculum which will help you in your career going forward. And vice versa for an experienced teacher to regain some work life balance.

The Role
  • Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum across KS1 and KS2
  • Delivering the cover work set out by the class teacher but adapting where necessary and appropriate.
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
  • Taking part in staff meetings and training sessions if required
Requirements
  • Hold QTS in the UK
  • Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum. Experience weighted more to either KS1 or KS2 is not entirely essential.
  • Be open to teaching multiple year groups, potentially across KS1 and KS2.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to get one.
  • Have right to work in the UK
