PPA Cover Teacher Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cover for PPA sessions across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, ensuring continuity in students’ learning.
• Deliver engaging, creative lessons that follow the National Curriculum and maintain the positive ethos of the school.
• Ensure a consistent classroom environment, managing student behavior effectively and fostering a love of learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their development and assist with planning future lessons.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure cohesive planning and teaching across the school.
• Keep parents and guardians updated on student progress, addressing any concerns as needed.
• Contribute to the school’s wider activities and school events as appropriate.

PPA Cover Teacher Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in primary schools, with the ability to adapt to different year groups and subjects.
• Excellent classroom management skills and an ability to engage children in varied learning activities.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to building positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
• Flexibility and adaptability to cover various subjects and year groups.
