GE Power Conversion and Storage (PCS) seeks a systems engineer to support power systems and power electronics services. You will analyze electrical characteristics, develop models, and assist customers with engineering expertise on installations and projects.

The role requires experience with MATLAB, PSCAD, PSSE, PSLF, Python, C/C# and time‑domain simulations. You will prepare detailed reports, work with cross‑functional teams, and participate in industry standards groups to improve grid

Qualificações

• Master’s or PhD in electrical power engineering or related field.
• Bachelor’s in electrical power engineering with 3 years employment experience will be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in MATLAB, PSCAD, PSSE, PSLF, Python, C, C#.
• Experience with time-domain simulation tools (PSCAD/EMTP) and MATLAB is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide product development and technical analysis related to power electronic and power systems control of renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, STATCOMS, Sync Condensers and large industrial drives.
• Expertise in developing models in PSS/E, PSLF, PowerFactory, PSCAD and other modeling tools.
• Expertise in tuning controllers to achieve desired performance as per grid codes.
• Develop technical understanding of electrical characteristics of GE power electronics products and their integration to electrical grids.
• Support customers with power systems engineering expertise, including equipment design, specification studies, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and failure mode analyses.
• Lead participation in industry standards groups and drive innovation in power equipment design.
