Job summary

A UK Recruitment Agency is looking for a Power Systems Engineer for an initial 12-month contract based in Leicester, East Midlands. This role involves technical and document reviews, defining qualification obligations, and providing technical direction. The ideal candidate will have experience in power systems modelling, Labview, equipment design, and system integration. The position allows for hybrid working, 2-3 days per week on-site with an hourly rate of £81.05.

Responsibilities

• Undertake technical reviews and Document reviews in support of system maturity.
• Articulate, define and document subject expertise to extend business knowledge.
• Provide technical direction to engineers in facility.
• Define qualification obligations for assurance during build, test and commissioning.
• Undertake functional design and provide evidence for acceptance and safety.

Power Systems Engineer

81.05 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)

The Role

• Undertake technical reviews and Document reviews in support of system maturity
• Articulate, define and document subject expertise, approaches and standards in order to extend business knowledge base.
• Provide technical direction to engineers when in facility
• Define the qualification obligations for the assurance hold points during build, test and commissioning, and providing assurance to the Design Authority as to the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.
• Undertake functional design and/or provide qualification and evidence for acceptance, fitness for purpose, legislative requirements, and safety.
