A leading engineering consultancy is seeking multiple PSA Engineers to work on the implementation of Power Systems applications. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience and skills in C++ and Java. These roles are primarily remote within the UK/EU, offering contract positions for 12 months with potential extensions.

Qualifications

PSA Engineer - Network/Transmission

Reliance, Power Systems, AEMS, Power Systems Applications for Transmission

1. Have you worked on Power Systems applications for transmission (Load flow, contingency analysis, Power Factor etc)?
2. Name any power systems applications (Transmission) for which you have implementation expertise?
3. Do you have minimum 2 years of implementation experience and customization of power system applications?
4. Do you have experience in developing applications using C++ and Java?

PSA Engineer - OMS

ADMS_S6, Power Systems, ADMS, Power Systems Applications, OMS, ADMS_S6_OMS Specialist

1. Have you worked on OMS solution (GEV, Siemens, OSI, Schnieder etc) and its role in Power distribution?
2. Do you have experience integration of OMS with other utility applications?
3. Do you have minimum 2 years of implementation experience and customization of power system applications?
4. Have you worked with SQL Queries or log analysis for OMS troubleshooting?
5. Do you have experience in developing applications using C++ and Java?

PSA Engineer – Distribution_ADMS

ADMS, DMS, Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Volt Var Control or IVVC, FLISR or FDIR, OPF

1. Have you worked on Power Systems applications for Distribution (Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Volt Var Control or IVVC, FLISR or FDIR, OPF etc)?
2. Name any power systems applications (Distribution) for which you have implementation expertise?
3. Do you have minimum 2 years of implementation experience and customization of power system applications?
4. Do you have experience in developing applications using C++ and Java?

PSA Engineer - DTS

Electrical transmission modeling, EMS Application Engineer, XX PowerOn Reliance / XA21, GE eTerra Platform, Power System Applications, DTS, Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS)

1. Do you have hands‑on experience with Dispatcher training simulator system (DTS) for EMS?
2. Do you have experience in implementing Power System Applications such as Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Load Forecasting?
3. Do you have any enhancement, defect fixing experience in EMS, ADMS, SCADA?
4. Have you worked on Linux OS and databases to manage EMS environment?
5. How comfortable are you with scripting or database queries for troubleshooting or configuration?
6. Have you worked on Qtest, Grip tools?

PSA Engineer - Electrical transmission modeling, EMS Application Engineer, GE PowerOn Reliance / XA21, GE eTerra Platform, Power System Applications

1. Do you have hands‑on experience with Energy Management System (EMS) / Monitoring and Control applications?
2. Do you have Software development experience with C/C++/Java and SQL?
3. Have you worked with IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, OPC communication protocols in your previous projects?
