Job summary

A leading technology company in the UK is seeking a PSA Engineer specializing in distribution. You will design and optimize ADMS solutions and lead system upgrades, requiring hands-on experience with ADMS platforms and proficiency in C/C++, Oracle SQL, and Python. This role offers a salary range of £75-85k and allows for hybrid work, requiring UK citizenship or ILR.

Qualifications

• UK-wide (nearest office, 2 days/week onsite)
• Permanent
• £75-85k (flexible)
• Must have UK citizenship or ILR - no sponsorship available

You'll bring:

• Hands-on experience with ADMS platforms, including DMS, OMS, SCADA, and DER
• Strong technical background in C/C++/C#, Oracle SQL, Linux, and Python
• Familiarity with Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Volt Var Control (IVVC), and FLISR/FDIR
• Experience with system replication, FAT/SAT testing, and defect analysis
• Knowledge of Transmission and Distribution grids, CIM modelling, and remote diagnostics

What you'll do:

• Design, implement, and optimise ADMS solutions to meet operational goals
• Lead deployments and upgrades of ADMS systems with minimal disruption
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across SCADA, OMS, and DMS applications
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure system performance
• Support model migration, CIM transformation, and advanced power systems development

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Jasper Reports, Cassandra, Docker, Jenkins
• Understanding of NERC CIP standards, TCP/IP protocols, and network troubleshooting
• Experience working with Electric Utilities or System Operators
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
