Job summary

A consultancy agency is seeking a Power Platform Developer to support digital and data functions. The role involves developing low-code applications, automating workflows, and providing data insights using Power BI. Power Platform Developer

Pay Rate: £22.85 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

Summary of what the candidate must have to apply
  • Strong Power BI experience, including dashboards, data modelling and visual design.

  • Proven experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into digital solutions.
  • Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, charts and complex formula.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical work clearly.
The role:

You will support the council’s digital and data function by developing low-code applications, automating workflows, and producing clear, accurate data insights. The work directly underpins the authority’s corporate performance framework and digital transformation aims. Key areas include Power Platform development, CRM form building, data visualisation, process automation and end‑user support.

Key accountabilities:
  • Design, build and maintain Power Apps and automated workflows.
  • Develop accessible, visually clear dashboards and reports in Power BI.
  • Improve and maintain CRM (Firmstep) forms and workflows to support channel shift.
  • Work closely with IT provider Strata, SLT and service managers to support digital transformation.
  • Provide training, guidance and troubleshooting support for users.
  • Ensure data governance, security and quality standards are met.
  • Assist with open data initiatives and public-facing data communication.
Requirements/key criteria:
  • Proven Power BI expertise.
  • Experience delivering low-code solutions.
  • Ability to analyse data and present findings clearly.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills.
  • Highly numerate with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, digital and verbal).
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable:
  • Power BI Apps or Microsoft Power Platform certification.
  • CRM development experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL, ETL or data warehousing concepts.
  • Business process mapping experience.
