A Civilian Aerospace company is seeking an experienced Power Electronics Engineer for a hybrid 12-month contract in Henley-on-Thames. The role focuses on designing and qualifying AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion systems for satellite communications. Ideal candidates should have over 10 years of experience in hardware design and a strong understanding of EMI/EMC compliance. Flexible working arrangements are available depending on development needs.

Aerospace business have an opportunity for an experiencedPower Electronics Engineerto join on a hybrid 12-month initial contract basis (QDOS assessed as Outside IR35 and high rate)to support the design, development, and qualification of high-reliabilityAC-DC and DC-DC power conversion systems.
The role is for Power Electronics development to design, develop, and qualify AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion systems for satellite communications applicationl. This role requires strong expertise in power conversion, EMI/EMC compliance, and MIL-STD standards (this is NOT a defence opportunity).
The client are happy with a hybrid working arrangement, approximately three days at the innovation centre based by Henley and two from home although this can be flexible depending on the development requirements at the time.
