ABB Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Power Electronics BESS Field Technician – Energy & Carbon to service client sites across the UK and Ireland. You will lead installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of integrated microgrid systems, acting as the on-site SME for power electronics and grid interfaces.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize LV/MV electrical systems, with SCADA, EMS, and BMS configuration.

Competenze

• Electrical Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ BESS technician experience.
• Hands-on with microgrids, PV, EV charging systems.
• Experience with SCADA, EMS, BMS, and data acquisition systems.
• Strong reading of electrical schematics and protection studies.

• Lead installation, commissioning, and lifecycle maintenance of microgrid systems across LV/MV networks.
• Act as on-site SME for power electronics (inverters, converters, transformers, protection/control).
• Drive system integration across PV, BESS, EV charging, and grid interfaces.
