Job summary
Aurora Energy Research in Oxford is seeking a mid-level Business Insights Developer to turn business questions into trusted insights using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. You will partner with the Data and Insights team and business stakeholders to design scalable, governed analytics solutions and ensure high-quality visual delivery.
You will apply semantic modelling, DAX, and data visualisation skills, while collaborating with data engineers and architects to continuously improve insight
Qualifications
- Experience delivering data, insight, and reporting in Power BI with a mid-level/analyst mindset.
- Strong design and semantic modelling skills; ability to translate business questions into dashboards.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric data assets and governance practices.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business divisions to define KPIs and translate requirements into actionable insights.
- Build and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models using Fabric data assets.
- Develop robust semantic models, measures, and DAX calculations to ensure consistent insight delivery.
- Document data definitions, governance practices, and usage guidance; support adoption.
- Collaborate with data platform team to ensure data quality and alignment with standards.
- Contribute to delivery standards and reusable assets across the Data and Insights team.
