Tata Technologies is seeking a Power Architecture Engineer to design and integrate high-voltage and low-voltage power architectures for leading automotive programs. The role focuses on power distribution, energy availability, loads and interfaces among batteries, DC-DC converters and distribution units.

Based at the Leamington Spa head office, you will join the Embedded Systems Solutions team, contributing to ASPICE-aligned development, safety, cybersecurity and functional validation efforts

Competenze

• Degree in electrical, electronic, automotive or power systems engineering.
• Extensive automotive electrical or power architecture experience.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution, batteries and DCDC systems.
• Experience with electrical load analysis and vehicle system integration.
• Understanding of electrical protection, grounding and safety principles.

Role Description

Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Power Architecture Engineer to be based at our head office in Leamington Spa. Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will develop and integrate vehicle high-voltage and low-voltage power architecture solutions. The role covers power distribution, energy availability, electrical loads, operating modes and interfaces between batteries, converters, distribution units and electrical consumers.

Dimension Of Function

Our ESS is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. The EE team within ESS is responsible for hardware and software that delivers the EE & High voltage components. A position within the EE team requires a highly motivated and hands on team player with exceptional attention to detail, pro-activeness, diligence, a positive attitude and the ability to communicate well. Areas Of Responsibility

• Develop HV and LV power architecture concepts and operating strategies.


• Create power distribution, energy flow and electrical load analyses.


• Define interfaces between batteries, converters, charging systems, distribution units and loads.

Essential

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (essential)

• Degree in electrical, electronic, automotive or power systems engineering.


• Extensive automotive electrical or power architecture experience.


• Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution, batteries and DCDC systems.


• Experience with electrical load analysis and vehicle system integration.


• Understanding of electrical protection, grounding and safety principles.

Desirable

• Hybrid or battery electric vehicle experience.


• Knowledge of ISO 26262, HV safety or EMC.


• MATLAB/Simulink modelling experience.
