An opportunity is available for a postdoctoral researcher to work with Dr Andrew Carter to identify the connections between microtubule motors and their cargos. The project will be a collaboration with the lab of Emmanuel Derivery and will benefit from combining their expertise in multispectral imaging, together with the Carter group’s expertise in working with iNeurons and motor transport.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is likely to thrive in a laboratory with a friendly and supportive atmosphere. The successful candidate should have a PhD in a relevant subject or due to complete PhD within 6 months and a desire to understand how microtubule motors dynein and kinesin can interact with many different cargos from viruses and RNAs to membrane organelles.

This is a three-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills. Working with our world class scientists you will be working in an Institute renowned for its excellent scientific facilities and high-quality research.
