Job summary

Magdalen College, Calleva Research Centre, Oxford, seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct qualitative research on mistrust in healthcare, under Prof Daniel Freeman. Based at the Calleva Centre, the role starts 1 January 2027 for three years.

You will conduct IPA-focused interviews, analyse transcripts, and contribute to publications and guidance documents; collaboration with LEAP panel; mix-methods plan.

Qualifications

• Hold or be close to completing a PhD/DPhil.
• Expertise in qualitative research methods with IPA.
• Ability to manage multiple qualitative studies and work quickly.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake qualitative research for the project Combatting mistrust in healthcare.
• Engage with lived experience advisors (LEAP) and collaborators.
• Contribute to evidence reviews, surveys, and interviews.
• Prepare annual progress reports and assist with administration.
