Job summary

The University of Warwick invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow to join Dr Michael Hope's group in the Department of Chemistry, funded by EPSRC, to develop solid-state NMR studies of battery and supercapacitor systems.

The role offers access to state-of-the-art NMR facilities and collaboration across the university and internationally; fixed-term for two years with possible extension; salary £35,608–£46,049 per annum.

Qualifications

• Completed, or near completing, a PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related discipline.
• passion and experience in solid-state NMR spectroscopy, electrochemical energy storage, and materials characterisation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with world leaders across the university and internationally.
• Support the training of PhD students.
• Develop battery and/or supercapacitor systems using in situ/operando NMR.
• Utilise the solid-state NMR facilities and techniques available at Warwick.
