Job summary

University of Oxford's Oxford Population Health invites applications for a Postdoctoral Epidemiologist in the Cancer Epidemiology Unit to advance ATLAS Cancer Grand Challenges and related projects. The role focuses on epidemiology, molecular data and large cohort analyses.

You will manage complex datasets, apply robust statistics, contribute to design and interpretation, and help prepare reports and publications while collaborating across the department.

Qualifications

  • This is a postdoctoral position requiring a PhD in epidemiology/biostatistics or a related field.
  • Experience analysing health-related or epidemiological data and managing complex projects with molecular data.
  • Strong programming skills in R, Python or Stata and ability to present findings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyse complex epidemiological and molecular datasets, including omics data.
  • Contribute to ATLAS study planning and delivery and to unit research portfolio.
  • Prepare and clean large-scale datasets and develop reproducible analytical pipelines.
  • Apply appropriate statistical methods and contribute to study design and interpretation.
  • Prepare scientific reports and publications and present findings at meetings.
  • Support teaching, mentoring and supervision within the department as appropriate.
