Job summary

The Post-doctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) will work with the University of Edinburgh and University of Exeter teams on the ARIA-funded project on plant synthetic genomics governance. The role requires engagement across disciplines and with external partners, aiming to publish findings and contribute to policy-relevant knowledge.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in science and technology studies, science policy research or related discipline.
• Familiar with responsible innovation theories and debates.
• Ability to work across disciplines and with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and writing of experimental governance initiatives for publication and policy use.
• Collaborate with ARIA programme scientists and stakeholders.
• Contribute to qualitative research, public engagement activities and artistic commissions as required.
• Travel nationally and internationally as part of the role.
