Job summary

Liverpool John Moores University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate for a full-time, fixed-term contract of 2 years to advance applied research on environmental sustainability in high water-table agriculture. The role supports the UK Innovate Farming Innovation Project, focusing on paludiculture, monitoring GHG emissions, soil and water physiochemistry, and ecological surveys.

Qualifications

• PhD required or equivalent
• Experience in environmental sustainability research preferred
• Strong data analysis and lab skills required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project goals with partners and LJMU teams.
• Design and develop monitoring to support reporting timelines.
• Conduct lab work and data analysis; prepare and submit peer‑reviewed publications.
• Prepare project reports aligning with deliverables and manage administrative tasks (time sheets, purchasing).
• Engage with project partners and wider team to report on progress and outcomes.
