Job summary

The University of Dundee is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the lab of Dr. Tony Ly in the Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology.

This fixed-term, 36-month appointment focuses on measuring phosphorylation dynamics using mass spectrometry and related biochemical reconstitutions in an interdisciplinary team. The role offers opportunities to work with Orbitrap Astral and to develop data-analysis pipelines.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific area with at least one first-author publication.
• Strong background in proteomics and/or mass spectrometry.
• Experience with data analysis pipelines and scripting (e.g., Python).
• Motivated, honest, hardworking, collaborative with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop MS-based approaches to measure phosphorylation dynamics.
• Extract insights from datasets by custom data analysis pipelines.
• Work with state-of-the-art MS instrumentation, including the Orbitrap Astral.
• Collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
