Job summary

The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) at the University of Cambridge invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in trustworthy AI, led by Professor Adrian Weller. This fixed-term post is funded for two years.

The appointed researcher will develop and evaluate methods at the frontier of trustworthy AI, collaborating with domain experts and stakeholders, and disseminating results at leading venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, FAccT and AIES.

Qualifications

• PhD completed or near completion in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning or closely related field.
• Expertise in trustworthy AI areas such as human-AI interaction, fairness, transparency and interpretability, privacy, or robustness.
• Strong understanding of machine learning methods, together with excellent mathematical and programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate methods at the frontier of trustworthy AI.
• Validate methods on real-world problems in partnership with domain experts and stakeholders.
• Publish and present results at leading venues in ML and AI ethics and society.
