Job summary

The Roslin Institute at The University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate funded by BBSRC, based at Easter Bush. The role focuses on engineering more robust protein expression in chicken using synonymous recoding, within a collaborative, high-impact project.

You will plan, execute and analyse experiments with guidance from PI/Co-Investigators, contributing to publications and outreach, and supporting dissemination of outputs.

Qualifications

  • Planning, optimisation and execution of experimental work in engineering biology.
  • Analysis and interpretation of data to inform research direction.
  • Contribution to dissemination of research findings and publications.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, optimise and execute experimental work in engineering biology, molecular biology and avian cell systems.
  • Analyse and interpret data with high integrity and robust documentation.
  • Present findings within and beyond the group and contribute to funding applications.
  • Contribute to wider Engineering Biology Hub activities and development of tools and protocols.
