Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail is recruiting Postal Delivery Drivers in Aberystwyth on a temporary basis. You will work 30–40 hours per week at £13.69 per hour, with shifts 8am–8pm, Monday to Friday and weekend availability.

Duties include sorting at the office, delivering letters and parcels, and using a handheld device for signatures and navigation. Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, physical stamina, and enjoy independent outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max; clean licence preferred).
• License held for at least 6 months.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Start shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle, walking up to 8 miles daily.
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16 kg) and parcels (up to 20 kg).
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
