A prominent healthcare organization in Ipswich seeks a Senior Spine Fellow. The role entails supervising ward patients and spinal emergency admissions, engaging in spine surgery procedures, and involvement in outpatient clinics. Ideal candidates will have advanced training in orthopaedics or neurosurgery with a focus on spinal techniques. The position offers extensive training and development opportunities, as well as a supportive staff culture.
The post offers experience in all aspects of spinal surgery except paediatric deformity & intradural work.
The Senior Spine Fellow will have the opportunity to be involved in regular day case procedures, out‑patient clinics and in‑patient operating lists.
The Senior Spine Fellow will be responsible for supervising the regular review of ward patients and the admission of spinal emergencies from surrounding hospitals in collaboration with junior Fellows and Training Registrars.
The post would be ideally suited to an orthopaedic or neurosurgical trainee after the end of their training, with a specialist interest in spinal surgery techniques and complex spinal reconstruction.
